We are pleased to announce our inclusion in the Tyne Rivers Trust Tyne Angling Passport Scheme for the 2009 season commencing Mar 22nd untill May31st. The Scheme allows anglers to fish much of the Tynes tributaries and beats for brown trout on a catch and return basis for as little as a fiver a day.
It is our belief that in encouraging anglers particulary the young, in experiencing fishing for a fiver, for the Tyne’s wild brownies, that a whole new generation will be inspired to take up a rod for the ‘Fish Tyne Experience’.

Encompassing not only the South Tyne the Lambley Estate inclusion in the scheme will also include their highly regarded spawning burn ‘The Black Burn’.
Specimen brown trout to 4.7lb (Peter Francon - Smith) have been taken at Lambley this season and it is hoped that this will be surpassed in the coming seasons with our inclusion in the scheme.
Rods will be on an accomodation holders first served basis, however it is anticipated that during its early implamentation that rods will be available to non residents - please call to check availability (Jim 07967274286)

Plans move on apace for the development of our new ‘Tyne Centre of Excellence’ with contracts now approved for the site clearance and casting lake ground works. Work is scheduled to commence March 1st 09 with initial draining and dredging of the existing flight ponds expected to take some 3 weeks allowing plenty time for reseeding and landscaping together with the erection of our classroom facilities. Our grand opening is scheduled to coincide with the start of the main fishing season on the Tyne - 15th of June. It is anticipated the new facilities will prove highly popular with both party organisors and instructors if the initial response is anything to go by.
Sitting comfortably alongside our recent completed six holiday cottages, which now enable us to accomodate up to 27, we beleive our facilities and location will prove unbeatable in offering the ‘Ultimate Fish Tyne Experience’.

Four rods were greeted by perfect conditions after yesterday’s total washout. Helping themselves to a cracking day’s sport with Aidan Pollard producing a 5.7lb Sea Trout from Birketts and Colin Bradshaw on his second day testing his new Zpey landing a 4lb Sea Trout from the Home Pool and losing a salmon and another sea trout within half an hour on the same pool. Can’t be bad, thats six fish hooked on two outings on the new rod - well done Colin! Prospects look good for Paul Vernon’s fishing party for the coming week with beat now landing eleven fish over the last seven days and a further eleven lost.

Three salmon caught today, 8lb, 8lb and 10lb. The first two were coloured and returned but in very good condition. Three more fish (two large sea trout) were lost. A perfect October day with mild weather of broken cloud and gentle sunshine.
